At The Game Awards 2024, Fumito Ueda, the creator behind critically acclaimed titles like 'Ico,' 'Shadow of the Colossus,' and 'The Last Guardian,' revealed his next project, codenamed 'Project Robot.' This new game marks Ueda's return to game development after nearly seven years since his last project, 'The Last Guardian.' The teaser trailer showcased a sci-fi setting with a person climbing a massive humanoid mech, hinting at gameplay elements reminiscent of Ueda's previous works. The game is being developed by genDESIGN, with Epic Games Publishing as its publisher. It is set to be available on multiple platforms including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox, and the Epic Games Store.
