A fuel tanker explosion in Niger State, Nigeria, has resulted in the deaths of at least 60 people, with many others injured. The incident occurred on Saturday morning at around 9am when a petrol tanker overturned near Dikko Junction along the Minna road in Dikko, Gurara Local Government Area, close to Abuja. The explosion happened as residents, including a pregnant woman, attempted to scoop the spilled fuel. The Federal Road Safety Corps confirmed the casualty figures, and reports indicate that the victims included women and children.
