Jun 12, 2024, 03:08 AM
Fu Bao, the first giant panda born in the Republic of Korea (ROK), made her public debut in China on Wednesday. After returning to her homeland in early April, Fu Bao underwent two months of inspection, quarantine, and adaptation at the Shenshuping giant panda base in Sichuan Province and the Wolong National Nature Reserve. The China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda announced that Fu Bao would meet the public in June. The keepers at the base prepared fresh carrots and bamboo shoots for her debut. Fu Bao's return to China marks a significant event as she is the first panda born in South Korea to be repatriated.
