French rugby player Melvyn Jaminet has been banned for 34 weeks by the French Rugby Federation (FFR) after a video surfaced showing him making racist remarks. In the video, Jaminet made offensive comments about Arabs. The FFR has also imposed a €30,000 fine on Jaminet. Eight of the 34 weeks of his ban can be spent working with the FFR in schools on anti-discrimination efforts and with French youth teams on the dangers linked to alcohol and social networks.
