French actor Niels Arestrup, renowned for his powerful performances in films such as "Un Prophète" and "De battre mon cœur s'est arrêté," died on Sunday, December 1, at his home in Ville-d'Avray, Hauts-de-Seine, after a courageous battle against illness. He was 75. Arestrup, a three-time César award winner for Best Supporting Actor, was a significant figure in French cinema and theater. His memorable role as Francis Laugier in the television series "Baron Noir" further cemented his status as a leading actor.
