Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced that Cuitláhuac García, the former governor of Veracruz, will join her administration as the new director of the National Center for Natural Gas Control (CENAGAS) starting Monday, January 6. García, an electrical mechanical engineer from the University of Veracruz, left his doctoral studies abroad to contribute to Mexico's transformation, according to Sheinbaum. She highlighted his technical knowledge in electricity and energy, describing him as honest and consistent. CENAGAS is responsible for managing the transportation and storage of natural gas in Mexico, ensuring its supply and distribution.
