Former Toronto Raptors player Jontay Porter, who was previously banned from the NBA, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection to an illegal betting scheme. The scheme, which involved Porter and four co-conspirators, allegedly earned shady bettors $1 million. Porter's arraignment and plea agreement hearing took place Wednesday in Brooklyn federal court, where he admitted to placing more than a dozen bets on basketball games. He faced a felony charge related to the scheme.
