Former Karnataka Chief Minister and Union External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna passed away at his residence in Bengaluru early Tuesday morning at 3 AM, at the age of 92 due to age-related health issues. His tenure as Chief Minister was marked by progressive policies that spurred the growth of the IT-BT sectors in Karnataka. Political leaders across party lines expressed their condolences, highlighting his visionary leadership and lasting impact on the state's development. "Karnataka will forever remain indebted to him, especially for his visionary leadership in transforming Bengaluru into an IT hub," said Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan remarked that Krishna's vision was instrumental in making Bangalore the IT capital of the country.
