VisitFormer FBI Agent Peter Strzok Reaches $1.2 Million Settlement with DOJ Over Privacy Rights, Lawyers Said
Jul 26, 2024, 11:09 PM
Former senior FBI special agent Peter Strzok has reached a $1.2 million settlement with the Department of Justice (DOJ) over claims that his privacy rights were violated, his lawyers said. The settlement follows Strzok's lawsuit, which alleged that the DOJ improperly released his private text messages that were critical of Donald Trump. Strzok's removal from the FBI and additional claims remain pending. The DOJ has also settled similar claims with former FBI lawyer Lisa Page, although the amount she received has not been disclosed.
