VisitFormer Cornell Student Sentenced to 21 Months for Antisemitic Threats
Aug 12, 2024, 07:51 PM
Patrick Dai, a former Cornell University student, has been sentenced to 21 months in federal prison for making antisemitic threats against Jewish students on campus. In April, Dai pleaded guilty to posting online threats, including a threat to 'shoot up' the building housing Cornell's Center for Jewish Living. The sentencing also includes three years of supervised release. The threats, which terrorized the Cornell campus community and shattered its sense of safety, were condemned by U.S. Attorney Carla Freedman.
