Li Yuyi, former vice president of the Chinese Football Association, has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for bribery. The Jingzhou Intermediate People's Court in Central China's Hubei Province handed down the sentence, which includes a fine of 1 million yuan (approximately $139,600). The court also ordered the confiscation of the bribes, which will be turned over to the state. Li Yuyi's conviction is part of a broader crackdown on corruption within Chinese sports organizations.
