Florida Issues New Guidelines to Remove Fluoride from Drinking Water

The state of Florida is considering removing fluoride from its drinking water. On Friday, Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo announced new guidelines advising all cities and counties statewide to stop adding fluoride to drinking water. The state officially recommends against fluoride in public drinking water, citing that the previously considered benefits do not outweigh the current known risks, particularly for special populations such as pregnant women and children.
