FIU Renames Stadium to 'Pitbull Stadium' in Five-Year, $6M Deal

Florida International University (FIU) has entered into a five-year agreement with international recording artist Pitbull to rename its football stadium to 'Pitbull Stadium.' The deal, valued at $6 million, will see Pitbull paying FIU $1.2 million annually. According to FIU board documents, Pitbull will also be designated as the 'Official Entrepreneur of FIU Athletics,' and he will create an 'FIU anthem.' Additionally, Pitbull will have the right to use the stadium for up to 10 days each year, and his Voli 305 Vodka will be sold at games. The agreement also includes two suites for up to 40 people and the possibility of 'Pitbull-affiliated performers' at halftime or postgame events. The Panthers will be playing at Pitbull Stadium, marking the first time an athletic venue has been named after a recording artist.
