First Tornado of 2025 in Tehama County, California, Brings Quarter-Sized Hail but No Damage

A tornado touched down in Northern California's Tehama County on Friday, marking the first confirmed tornado of 2025 in the United States. The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for the area, which included Shingletown, Manton, and Paynes Creek, and was in effect until 6:00 PM PST.
