Oct 7, 2024, 07:57 AM
A significant fire broke out at the Feodosia oil depot in Crimea following a suspected Ukrainian drone and missile attack. The Feodosia terminal, the largest in Crimea for oil transshipment, was targeted overnight, causing extensive damage. Russian-appointed officials confirmed the attack, and local authorities declared a state of 'technical' emergency. Approximately 300 people were evacuated due to the fire, which continues to burn. The depot, crucial for supplying fuel to the Russian military, saw multiple explosions and significant structural damage, including the destruction of two fuel tanks and damage to three others. The attack has disrupted local train services and resulted in three injuries. Explosions were also reported in the areas of the Crimean airfields of Belbek and Novofedorivka. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the war is in 'a very important phase.'
