Sep 13, 2024, 06:52 PM
Federal investigators are probing possible corruption within New York City Hall, focusing on SaferWatch, a Florida-based security app company. The investigation has led to the seizure of electronics from at least one employee of SaferWatch. The company had hired Terence Banks, the younger brother of two top officials in Mayor Eric Adams' administration, as a consultant. Authorities served a search warrant on SaferWatch as part of the investigation. The probe is examining the connections between the app maker and the two top aides of Mayor Adams, who were lobbied by the company before hiring Banks. The homes of the City Hall insiders were also searched.
