VisitFederal Judge Orders EPA to Address Fluoride's Risk to Children's IQ in Drinking Water
Sep 25, 2024, 04:00 PM
A federal judge in California has ruled against the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in a lawsuit brought by Food and Water Watch and others. The judge found substantial and scientifically credible evidence that fluoride poses an unreasonable risk to children's developing brains at levels currently found in U.S. drinking water. The court ordered the EPA to strengthen regulations on fluoride in drinking water to address these health risks, including the risk of lowering children’s IQ. This ruling follows seven years of legal action against the EPA over the practice of water fluoridation.
