Aug 15, 2024, 10:58 PM
The FBI has conducted a raid on the 132 acre Virginia estate of Dimitri Simes, a Russian-American political analyst with alleged ties to Russian Foreign Intelligence. Simes, who previously served as the head of the Center for the National Interest and advised the Trump campaign in 2016 through Jared Kushner, is reportedly linked to Russian spy Maria Butina. The raid involved numerous law enforcement officers who removed items from the property. Simes has been living in Moscow since 2022 and claims to have had no prior notification of the raid. His son, Dimitri Simes Jr., described the raid as an intimidation effort.
