VisitFBI Investigates Bomb Threats and Swatting Against Trump's Cabinet Nominees
Nov 27, 2024, 06:14 PM
Several of President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet nominees and administration appointees have been targeted with violent threats, including bomb threats and swatting incidents, according to Trump transition team spokesperson Karoline Leavitt. The attacks occurred on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, prompting rapid response from law enforcement and other authorities to ensure their safety. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) confirmed it is investigating numerous bomb threats and swatting incidents targeting incoming administration nominees and appointees. The Trump-Vance Transition Team condemned the "violent, un-American threats" and stated that acts of intimidation and violence would not deter them. Among those targeted are Elise Stefanik, Pete Hegseth, John Ratcliffe, Matt Gaetz, and Lee Zeldin.
