VisitFanatics Sues Cardinals' Marvin Harrison Jr. for Breach of $1M Autographed Trading Cards Contract
May 19, 2024, 02:31 AM
Fanatics has filed a lawsuit against Arizona Cardinals rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. in the New York Supreme Court for breach of contract. The lawsuit, which was filed on Saturday, alleges that Harrison failed to fulfill the terms of an autograph agreement signed in May 2023, worth more than $1 million. Harrison’s team disputes the existence of the contract, while Fanatics claims it is valid and enforceable. The contract involved autographed trading cards. The lawsuit also mentions a merchandise website, The Official Harrison Collection, which promotes Cardinals memorabilia. This is the first time Fanatics has sued an athlete out of over 3,000 deals it has made. The complaint also references Harrison’s final year at Ohio State and an initial non-exclusive deal in April 2023.
