VisitFamily of 9-Year-Old Astroworld Victim in Houston Reaches Settlement
May 24, 2024, 02:30 AM
The family of 9-year-old Ezra Blount, the youngest victim of the 2021 Astroworld Festival tragedy in Houston, has reached a settlement in their wrongful death lawsuit. The lawsuit was filed against rapper Travis Scott, Apple, Live Nation, and other entities involved in the festival. Ezra, who attended the concert with his father, was trampled during a crowd surge and died after spending several days in a coma. This settlement follows similar agreements reached in nine other fatality lawsuits related to the same event. A trial date had been set for September 10, but attorney S. Scott West confirmed the settlement, bringing an end to all wrongful death litigation stemming from the Astroworld crowd crush.
