VisitEx-Officer Thomas Lane Released After Serving Sentence for George Floyd's Murder

Thomas Lane, a former Minneapolis police officer convicted in the murder of George Floyd, has been released from prison. Lane was serving a 2.5-year sentence after being found guilty of violating Floyd's civil rights. He was charged with aiding and abetting murder and manslaughter. Lane, who had only been on the police force for four days at the time of the incident, was released from custody according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
