Europol coordinated a global police operation that successfully disrupted cybercrime networks by shutting down 600 servers linked to the hacking tool Cobalt Strike. The operation, known as Operation Morpheus, resulted in the takedown of 593 Cobalt Strike servers used by threat actors. Additionally, 54 individuals were arrested for their involvement in elderly fraud schemes. This action marks a significant step in combating the abuse of Cobalt Strike by major cybercriminal gangs.
