The EuroLeague has announced that Abu Dhabi will host the 2025 Final Four of the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season, marking the first time the event will be held outside of Europe. The decision, which was confirmed by EuroLeague sources, involves a significant financial commitment from Abu Dhabi, paying €50 million for the hosting rights. The event will take place at the Etihad Arena in the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Despite opposition from Olympiacos and Real Madrid, who voted against the move, the decision was made to expand the EuroLeague's reach into new markets. This move also includes an extension of the joint venture with IMG for another decade.
