Jun 24, 2024, 07:35 AM
The European Union (EU) is set to take further action against Apple over its compliance with the Digital Markets Act (DMA). EU Commissioner Thierry Breton announced that the EU will address Apple's adherence to tech regulations on Monday. Brussels has accused Apple of breaking EU rules and withholding new technologies from consumers in the European Union. Additionally, EU regulators have opened an investigation into Apple's new contractual requirements for third-party app developers and app stores, which allegedly breach EU tech rules. Breton criticized Apple for squeezing out innovative companies and denying consumers new opportunities and choices.
