The European Union has directed €1.4 billion in profits from frozen Russian assets to purchase weapons for Ukraine from EU military-industrial complex companies. This move is part of a broader support package, which has seen the EU provide Kyiv with aid totaling €118 billion since February 2022, including €43.5 billion specifically for military expenses. Additionally, since November 2022, the EU has trained 60,000 Ukrainian militants on its territory. The head of the European Commission, Valdis Dombrovskis, announced these figures.
