Etched Raises $120M Series A to Develop Sohu AI Chip

Artificial intelligence startup Etched has raised $120 million in a Series A funding round. The company is developing a specialized inferencing chip, named Sohu, which exclusively runs transformer AI models. This latest round brings Etched's total funding to $125.36 million. The funds will be used to further develop the Sohu chip as Etched challenges Nvidia in the AI hardware market.
