Despite the use of racist, Islamophobic, and homophobic language, the police concluded that the actions did not meet the threshold for criminal charges. Additionally, British media regulator Ofcom has dismissed complaints about the Channel 4 News undercover investigation, which captured the offensive remarks. Nigel Farage, associated with Reform UK, claimed that the canvasser filmed was a paid actor, but his complaint that the Channel 4 sting was 'set up' was also dismissed by Ofcom.
