Baltasar Ebang Engonga, the Director General of Equatorial Guinea’s National Financial Investigation Agency, has been arrested in connection with a significant sex tape scandal involving over 400 recordings. The tapes reportedly include explicit content featuring the president’s sister, several ministers’ wives, and Engonga's brother’s wife, all filmed using security cameras in public places. This incident marks one of the largest sex scandals in the country’s history. In response to the scandal, Vice President Teddy Nguema announced plans to install surveillance cameras in all state offices. Additionally, the government has restricted citizens from downloading and sharing multimedia files via WhatsApp, a move seen as an attempt to control information dissemination amid the ongoing controversy.
