Emory University Publicly Discloses $15M Bitcoin ETF Investment

Emory University has disclosed in an SEC filing that it owns $15,082,241 worth of Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust shares, totaling 2,678,906 shares, as of September 30. This makes Emory the first U.S. university to publicly report owning Bitcoin ETFs. University endowments in the U.S. collectively hold over $840 billion in assets. The investment marks a significant step as institutional investors, including university endowments, begin to embrace cryptocurrency assets.
