Emmanuel Wanyonyi of Kenya won the men's 800m race at the Diamond League final in Brussels with a time of 1:42.70, securing back-to-back titles and being crowned Diamond League champion. Wanyonyi's victory came after a dramatic final 100 meters, where he surged from fourth place to first. Djamel Sedjati of Algeria finished second with a time of 1:42.86, and Marco Arop of Canada took third place with a time of 1:43.25. Arop had set the pace for much of the race but was unable to hold off the strong finishes by Wanyonyi and Sedjati. Wanyonyi's win adds to his impressive season, which includes an Olympic gold medal.
