Elbit Systems Secures $190M Contract to Supply Iron Sting Mortar to IDF

Israeli defense firm Elbit Systems has been awarded a NIS 815 million ($190 million) contract to supply the Defense Ministry with an advanced mortar system. The contract involves the delivery of the Iron Sting, a laser and GPS-guided 120mm mortar, over the next two years. Major General (Res.) Eyal Zamir, Director General of the Israel Ministry of Defense, has signed an order worth over $220 million for thousands of Iron Sting precision-guided mortar munitions from Elbit Systems to equip the IDF.
