VisitED Raids 6 Locations in Ranchi, Seizes Over Rs 25 Crore, $3M in Corruption Case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting extensive raids across six locations in Ranchi, Jharkhand, targeting corruption linked to the Virendra Ram case. A significant amount of cash, reportedly more than Rs 25 crore and equivalent to about $3 million, was recovered from the household help of Sanjiv Lal, who serves as the Personal Secretary to Jharkhand Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam. Virendra K. Ram, the chief engineer at the Jharkhand Rural Development Department, has been arrested in connection with the case.
