VisitEagles' C.J. Gardner-Johnson Ejected After Two Unsportsmanlike Penalties, Throws Gloves, Flips Off Crowd
Dec 22, 2024, 08:09 PM
Philadelphia Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson was ejected from Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders after receiving two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties, both apparently resulting from comments he made to opposing players after plays. The first penalty occurred during the first half following interactions with Commanders' wide receiver Terry McLaurin, who appeared visibly upset on the field. The second penalty in the second half led to his ejection. As he exited the field, Gardner-Johnson threw his gloves and raised both middle fingers to the Washington crowd while walking up the tunnel. The game was marked by chippy play and numerous post-play altercations.
