Visit'Dune: Part Two' Hits $700M Worldwide, Aids IMAX Despite Q1 Drop, Budget $190M
Apr 27, 2024, 03:49 PM
Warner Bros. and Legendary's 'Dune: Part Two' has achieved significant box office success, surpassing $700 million globally. The film, which had an estimated budget of $190 million, continues to perform well in theaters, with its total domestic gross reaching approximately $278.28 million. Key daily domestic grosses included $807K on Friday, $1.264M on Saturday, and $876K on Sunday. Despite a strong performance from 'Dune: Part Two', Imax experienced a 9% year-over-year drop in Q1 revenue, although it still managed to beat street expectations with the highest ever North American market share during a period with few big releases, notably helped by the 'Zendaya-Palooza Box Office Weekend'.
