VisitDonald 'Cowboy' Cerrone, 41, Plans UFC Return to Reach 50 Fights; Dana White Disapproves
Oct 15, 2024, 05:17 PM
Former UFC fighter Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone, holding a record of 36-17, has announced via Instagram his intention to come out of retirement for two more fights in the UFC. Currently third in most fights in UFC history behind Andre Arlovski and Jim Miller, Cerrone aims to achieve several UFC records, including reaching 50 fights with the promotion, securing the most finishes, most bonuses, most walks to the cage, and most wins in UFC history. He mentioned he will stop using steroids to re-enter the USADA testing pool and compete again. Cerrone has been training with Brazilian jiu-jitsu champion Gordon Ryan. UFC President Dana White responded to Cerrone's announcement by expressing his disapproval, stating, 'Love him, hate that,' and suggesting that if Cerrone needs money, they could find other ways to help him. White believes there is nothing left for Cerrone to prove and prefers that he remains retired.
