The Miami Dolphins kept their playoff hopes alive with a dramatic 32-26 overtime victory over the New York Jets at Hard Rock Stadium. Tied at 26 at the end of regulation after Jason Sanders' field goal, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa led the Dolphins on a game-winning drive in overtime, going 6-of-7 for 67 yards and culminating in a 10-yard touchdown pass to tight end Jonnu Smith. Tagovailoa finished with 331 passing yards, marking his third consecutive 300-yard game. Jonnu Smith, who caught all three of his receptions in overtime for 44 yards, secured the game-winning touchdown. Dolphins defensive lineman Zach Sieler recorded two fourth-quarter sacks, helping to hold the Jets to a field goal on their final drive in regulation. The Dolphins improved to 6-7, maintaining their slim playoff hopes and extending their home winning streak against the Jets to nine games. The Jets, led by Aaron Rodgers who had his first 300-yard passing game in nearly three years, were officially eliminated from playoff contention with the loss, dropping to a 3-10 record.
