VisitDOJ Discovers 117 Pages of Previously Denied Biden Transcripts in Classified Material Case
Jul 23, 2024, 02:01 PM
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has located 117 pages of previously denied transcripts, including a partial transcript, of President Joe Biden's interviews with his ghostwriter, Mark Zwonitzer. These transcripts, which were initially claimed to be non-existent, have surfaced in connection with a criminal investigation into Biden's handling of classified material before he became president. The discovery was revealed in a new court filing and has prompted the DOJ to seek assistance from special counsel Bob Hur in responding to a flurry of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits. The Heritage Foundation, a conservative group, played a role in uncovering the existence of these transcripts. The DOJ had previously misled a federal judge about the availability of these documents.
