VisitDNC Invests $2M in 11 States, Including Texas and Maryland, to Boost Down-Ballot Races
Jun 10, 2024, 01:40 PM
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is investing $2 million in 11 non-battleground state parties to boost down-ballot candidates and voter registration efforts. This initiative, a first of its kind, aims to strengthen Democratic positions in states where presidential elections are not the primary focus. The funds will support various state parties, including $140,000 allocated to the Texas Democratic Party for voter registration and Get Out The Vote (GOTV) operations. Additionally, the Maryland Democratic Party will receive funding to hire and train organizers for key races, including the U.S. Senate race.
