Disney is expanding its search for a successor to CEO Bob Iger, considering candidates from outside the company. Among the external candidates being discussed is Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson. This marks a significant shift from the previously internal-focused succession plan. Disney's board, led by new chair James Gorman, is now looking at a wider field of potential leaders. The Wall Street Journal reports that Wilson is the first external candidate to emerge prominently in the deliberations, with other names also being considered. Sources say that two other outsiders are also in the mix.
