Dec 17, 2024, 05:23 PM
BBC Studios and Disney have announced that a feature-length film based on the popular Australian animated children's series 'Bluey' is in development and set for a theatrical release in 2027, followed by streaming on Disney+. This will be the first-ever 'Bluey' movie, bringing the lovable blue heeler pup and her family to the big screen. The film will be produced by the producer of 'The Lego Movie'. Series creator Joe Brumm expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating that he wants it to be an experiential event for the whole family to enjoy together. However, Brumm also announced that he will be stepping back from the TV series. 'Bluey' has gained a huge following since its debut in 2018 and became the most-watched series worldwide on Disney+ in 2024.
