The ceremony took place in Beijing, where Rousseff praised China's achievements over the past 75 years. This year also marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil. Rousseff vowed to strengthen China-Brazil relations and enhance cooperation, particularly in climate initiatives. The Friendship Medal is China's highest state honor to foreign nationals.
