DHS Terminates All Advisory Committee Memberships, Including Cybersecurity Panels, to Refocus on National Security

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has terminated the memberships of all individuals serving on its advisory committees. This action affects multiple committees, including those focused on cybersecurity, such as the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency's (CISA) advisory panel and the Cyber Safety Review Board, which was in the midst of investigating Salt Typhoon. Acting Secretary Benjamine Huffman stated that the move is intended to 'eliminate the misuse of resources' and to refocus efforts on national security.
