Detectives investigating historical sex offence allegations against comedian Russell Brand have passed a file of evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). This follows a 13-month inquiry initiated after a Sunday Times and Times investigation into claims of rape and sexual assault, which Brand denies. The Metropolitan Police have asked the CPS to consider bringing charges against Brand.
