VisitDenmark Funds Production of 18 Ukrainian NATO-Standard 155mm Bohdana Howitzers
Jul 11, 2024, 09:24 AM
Denmark has committed to financing the production of 18 Ukrainian-made Bohdana self-propelled howitzers, marking the first instance of a NATO country directly funding Ukrainian arms and ammunition production. The Danish Ministry of Defense has allocated approximately 1.2 billion Danish kroner (about $180 million) for this initiative. The delivery of these NATO-standard 155mm 2S22 artillery units to the Ukrainian military is expected to occur within the coming months. This move is part of a broader effort by foreign partners, who have pledged around $675 million to support Ukraine's defense industry. The first donation of these howitzers is expected soon.
