VisitDemocrat Operative Walter Ringfield Indicted on Felony Charges for Election Security Theft
Jul 9, 2024, 11:13 PM
Walter Ringfield Jr, a Democrat operative and former Maricopa County temporary elections worker, has been indicted on three felony charges and one misdemeanor for allegedly stealing an election security fob and other items. The thefts reportedly occurred over the past two months and involved critical Maricopa County elections infrastructure, the state legislature, and the Phoenix Art Museum. The charges invalidate a 2023 plea deal related to the theft of $1,800 from Fry's. Ringfield's trial date is set for November 6, 2024, the day after the election.
