Jul 29, 2024, 11:22 PM
Delta Air Lines has hired prominent attorney David Boies and a law firm to seek compensation from Microsoft and CrowdStrike following a global cyber outage earlier this month, CNBC reports. The outage, reportedly caused by a CrowdStrike update, led to the cancellation of thousands of flights and resulted in over $500 million in damages for Delta. The airline aims to recover these losses from Microsoft and CrowdStrike, with a total estimated loss of $5.4 billion, of which $1 billion is covered by insurance.
