VisitDelhi Drug Bust Kingpin with Congress Ties Made Dubai Trips; BJP Accuses Rahul Gandhi, Congress Denies Link
Oct 3, 2024, 11:14 AM
Indian authorities have arrested Tushar Goyal, the alleged kingpin behind Delhi's largest drug bust. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleges that Goyal is linked to the Congress Party, pointing to an appointment letter naming him as the Chairman of the Right to Information (RTI) Department of the Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress. BJP leaders, including National General Secretary Tarun Chugh and Minister Anurag Thakur, have accused the Congress of ties to drug cartels and an international conspiracy to push youth into drugs. They also questioned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's silence, alleging his 'mohabbat ki dukaan' is selling drugs. The BJP highlighted that Goyal made multiple trips to Dubai, suggesting international connections. The Congress Party refutes the allegations, stating that Goyal was expelled from the party two years ago. Congress MP Tariq Anwar criticized the BJP, questioning how the drugs entered India under Home Minister Amit Shah's oversight. Delhi police have quizzed Goyal, who admitted his involvement in Delhi politics. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj commented on the situation, criticizing the BJP for blaming others in every investigation.
