VisitDelhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Sent to 14-Day Judicial Custody in Liquor Policy Case
Jun 29, 2024, 10:29 AM
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was sent to a three-day CBI custody by the Rouse Avenue Court in connection with the now-scrapped excise policy case. His custody ended on June 29, 2024, and he was produced before the court on the same day. The CBI sought judicial custody of Kejriwal, citing his alleged lack of cooperation and potential to influence witnesses. The court, after hearing the arguments, reserved its order and later extended Kejriwal's custody, sending him to judicial custody for 14 days until July 12, 2024. The matter was heard by vacation judge Sunena Sharma at Rouse Avenue Court. Security was heightened at the court during the proceedings. The case is related to the Liquor Policy Case.
