A major fire broke out at a military ammunition depot in Chad's capital, N'Djamena, late Tuesday night, causing a series of intense explosions. The fire, which occurred near N'Djamena airport, resulted in significant concern among local residents as ammunition scattered across a wide area. Government spokesman Koulamallah Abderaman and President Mahamat Idriss Deby confirmed the incident, urging residents to remain calm. At least one person was killed and several others were injured in the explosions. The blaze caused significant human and material damage, with initial footage showing large blasts and parts of the ammunition falling on nearby houses. The fire also caused weapons to fire into the air.
